Why Cross Stitching Is A Great Art Therapy
Why cross stitching is a great art therapy. This little stitch that I am doing here is a complex cross stitch but still very simple and beautiful. It really helps to have a purpose for making all the little crosses that make up this masterpiece.
You see, this particular cross stitch is dedicated to both my mother and father. The family name is a Peckish Wolf with a Lion in a Ditch. The artwork was done by using black and white mixed with a rainbow of colors in a brown or grey design on white or green paper. And what good are cross stitching, if it’s not for some purpose?
When I first began cross stitching, I had no idea why. But I eventually came to the realization that by doing this little stitch for this special occasion, I had fulfilled my own purpose. And that my motive was truly to “see the difference in everyone”.
It’s no surprise that people of all ages and all walks of life love this little art form. Some of my favorite cross stitch artists are for kids, many of whom just want to be creative and have fun.
A perfect example of someone who loves cross stitching, is a nine-year-old girl who enjoys a weekly ritual of making cross stitch pictures in her bedroom. If you’re interested in seeing some cross stitch pictures, I’ll just give you a hint — you can find them under “cross stitch pictures” on her page.
If you want to know more about how you can get started as a cross stitcher, I highly recommend that you check out some online resources. I know that there are a lot of different stores where you can buy beautiful designs and needles, but I think that the best way to learn about this wonderful hobby is to do some research yourself.
My favorite resource is a book called “Cross Stitch Patterns for Beginners”. It teaches you everything you need to know to get started cross stitching.
The illustrations are small, but they are full of color, and the instructions are easy to follow. What’s more, the book also tells you what materials you will need to complete your cross stitch designs.
And now you know why cross stitching is a great art therapy. So go get yourself a book that teaches you everything you need to know to make your own cross stitch, and make sure that you have a supply of supplies lying around.
Being creative and having fun is a great way to relieve stress and to give yourself a chance to use your imagination. Learning to cross stitch is one of the best ways to get started, and it’s only going to get easier with more free tutorials available.
